With the Airnet climbing harness, Black Diamond has launched an extremely light, airy, yet relatively comfortable climbing harness that demonstrates its full strength in the most extreme climbing styles: be it in lead competitions or on the highest difficulty rock faces.
The competition harness was developed in collaboration with world-class climber Adam Ondra and the Black Diamond athlete team, who provided important suggestions with an eye on the 2020 Olympics: for example, the rear gear loops have not been completely removed, but are made of thinner webbing to reduce weight.
The actual harness is made of a material with patented airNET technology, a material with a mesh structure that allows plenty of air to pass through while also evenly distributing loads. Seamless edges contribute to comfort. The belay loop is also seamless: Black Diamond calls this the Infinity Loop. The tie-in points are made of robust Dynex material.
This makes the Airnet a top-class climbing harness: extremely lightweight, comfortable, and incredibly well-designed.
