The new Skorpius CR II touring ski boots from La Sportiva are technical, lightweight single-strap boots that are particularly well-suited for alpine activities such as ski mountaineering.
At 1190 grams, they're still too heavy for true racers, but anyone who prefers light, long, and ascent-oriented mountaineering will enjoy these touring ski boots. Furthermore, their stiff shell ensures that the Skorpius CR touring boots also excel on the downhill with precise power transmission.
But of course, this lightweight tourer is primarily designed for uphill runs. A 68° shaft rotation creates an almost mountaineering boot feel on ascents and ensures that the binding's climbing aid is barely needed.
The rotating Swinglock downhill locking mechanism prepares the boot for ascents or descents in virtually no time.
By the way, and this will especially please those with problematic feet among ski tourers, the boot can be thermally molded despite its carbon content. However, fit and volume can be easily adjusted using the proven BOA Fit System.
The boot is compatible with both PIN and TECH bindings.
